Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Unwrist (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit our website, purchase a case, or interact with our ads.
This store sells two cases. We keep data collection to what is needed to take orders, ship, and run advertising.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
When you place an order or contact us, we may collect:
- Name
- Email address
- Shipping address
- Phone number (if you provide it)
- Order details and payment status
We do not store full credit card numbers. Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe collects the card and the ship-to address at checkout. An order record on our server stores the product, color, fit, and ship-to after Stripe confirms payment.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the site we may collect:
- IP address
- Browser type and device information
- Pages viewed and time on site
- Referring URL
- Approximate location (city/region from IP)
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and pixels to operate the site and measure ads. This includes:
- Essential cookies (cart, checkout, security)
- Analytics cookies (to understand site use)
- Advertising cookies, including the Meta Pixel (Facebook / Instagram)
The Meta Pixel may collect page views, product views, add-to-cart events, and purchases so we can measure ads and show relevant ads.
2. How we use information
We use the information to:
- Process and fulfill orders
- Communicate about your order (confirmation, shipping, support)
- Improve the website
- Measure advertising performance
- Show ads (including retargeting) on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram) and other sites
- Comply with law and prevent fraud
3. Sharing of information
We share information only as needed to run the store:
| Who | Why |
|---|---|
| Stripe | Process your payment and collect the ship-to address |
| Shipping carriers | Deliver your order |
| Website / store platform | Host the site and checkout |
| Meta Platforms, Inc. | Advertising, measurement, and retargeting via Meta Pixel / Conversions API |
| Analytics providers | Understand traffic (if used) |
We do not sell your personal information for money.
Under some U.S. state laws (including California), sharing data with advertising platforms like Meta for targeted ads may be considered a “sale” or “sharing.” See Your choices below.
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.
4. Advertising and the Meta Pixel
We use Meta’s advertising tools, including the Meta Pixel and (if enabled) Conversions API.
This means:
- Data about your visit and purchases may be sent to Meta
- Meta may use that data to measure our ads and to show you ads for our product
- Meta may combine this with other information it has about you
Opt out of interest-based ads:
- Meta Ad Settings: https://www.facebook.com/adpreferences
- Your Online Choices (EU): https://www.youronlinechoices.eu
- Digital Advertising Alliance: https://optout.aboutads.info
- Browser cookie settings and “Do Not Track” / Global Privacy Control where supported
You can also use Meta’s tools to manage ads shown to you on Facebook and Instagram.
5. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion
- Opt out of sale/sharing of personal information for advertising (California and similar state laws)
- Opt out of targeted advertising
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
To exercise these rights, email us at info@unwrist.com.
California residents may also use a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” request by emailing us. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where technically feasible.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.
6. Data retention
- Order and customer records: kept as long as needed for orders, taxes, accounting, and legal requirements (typically up to 7 years)
- Marketing / advertising identifiers: retained according to cookie life (often up to 90 days for Meta Pixel cookies) or until you opt out
- Support emails: kept as needed to resolve issues
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information. No website or transmission is 100% secure.
8. Children’s privacy
This store is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. International visitors
If you visit from outside the United States, your information is processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
